St. Andrews History

St. Andrews Lutheran Church began in the midst of World War II, when a group of people came together to form a church and share a message of hope with their community during a very challenging time. More than eighty years later, we are still seeking to inspire our community to live out the hope found in Christ.

Whether you’re curious about church, love the idea of church, haven’t thought much about it, or have even been hurt by churches in the past, we invite you to join us. We believe that church is people, not buildings. We are not here for ourselves, but to serve our community and freely share the love, mercy, and purpose God has so generously given to us.

We come from all kinds of backgrounds. We are not perfect people, and we all make mistakes. We know we all need grace—first from God and then from each other. We believe the truth of God’s Word and the Gospel of His grace can change lives, and we invite you to come see how God can change your life, too.
