Newday Preschool

Our Philosophy

Newday Preschool has been serving families in the Stockton community since 1975. We provide a nurturing, Christ-centered environment where children ages 2–5 can explore, learn, grow, and experience the love of Jesus.

We believe that families are a child’s first and most important teachers. Newday seeks to partner with families during these important early years, supporting parents as they nurture their children and helping each child grow in a safe, caring, and encouraging environment.

Our play-based, developmentally appropriate program recognizes that young children learn best through hands-on experiences, meaningful relationships, exploration, and play. Through a variety of activities and experiences, children are encouraged to develop spiritually, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.

We believe that every child is uniquely created by God and is worthy of love, care, and respect. Each child develops at their own pace and brings their own personality, interests, strengths, and needs. Our teachers strive to know each child individually and create an environment where children feel safe, accepted, valued, and confident.

At Newday, children have opportunities to explore, make choices, try new things, solve problems, and practice important life skills within a caring and structured environment. As children play and learn alongside their peers, they build confidence, develop social and emotional skills, learn to care for others, and form meaningful friendships.

Above all, Newday Preschool desires for every child to know that they are loved by God and by the people around them. We are honored to partner with families and provide a place where children can grow in confidence, build meaningful relationships, discover their God-given gifts, and experience the love of Christ.
